Giants defy the odds, upset Denver for first win of season

The NFL has seen some unprecedented results to games this year: the Bears beat the Ravens on Sunday after also beating the Steelers. Those same Steelers just became the first team to beat the previously undefeated Chiefs. The Eagles are now 5-1 and currently control the NFC playoff landscape. The Chargers started 0-4, won back-to-back games, and in doing so dropped the Raiders to an unexpected 2-4. The Rams are 4-2. The Jets and 49ers took the Patriots and Redskins down to the final seconds of close games. “Any given Sunday” has become a real thing, as anything can happen on any Sunday in the NFL. Giants suffer worst defeat yet, drop to 0-5

Sunday could not have gotten worse for the New York Giants. The 0-4 Giants faced off against the 0-4 Chargers, a matchup which even the most pessimistic of fans felt certain the Giants would win. New York didn’t just lose to drop to 0-5, but also suffered injury after injury in what turned out to be one of the worst days in recent Giants history. Continue reading


Giants lose a heartbreaker in Philly, drop to 0-3 – What’s next?

This Giants team had huge expectations this year. All offseason there was talk of this Giants team taking the NFC East title back, this Giants team being a Super Bowl contender. This Giants offense was said to be a powerhouse after adding a few weapons, but without upgrading the most important part of an offense, the O-line. The defense was expected to be top-3, with aspirations of being the best defense in the whole league. This Giants team is now 0-3, and all of the talk of the offseason has meant absolutely nothing.
